What is an eGift?
An eGift is an experience gift within an eCard that is sent instantaneously via email. Your recipient can click the voucher and redeem on Buy-A-Gift or Red Letter days website depending on the experience bought.
The experience itself offers your recipient the opportunity to go on activities such as spa days, cooking classes, day trips, outdoor adventures and more. Your recipient can redeem or exchange their gift with our partners at Buyagift or Red Letter Days.
How do I purchase an eGift for an experience?
To purchase an eGift, simply visit our eGifting page on Moonpig here, choose the desired experience from over 300 options spread across the UK, then you’ll be prompted to select either a complementary card and select ‘Sent Instantly In an eCard’ or a paid option if you’d like to choose a specific a design to suit your recipient & occasion. You can then customise the eCard with a personal message and enter your recipicents email address. You can then select the delivery date to send your eGift or you can send instantaneously if you wish.
Which platforms is eGifting available on?
It is available across all platforms, however on IOS your eGift is limited to one free card option above.
Where are the experiences valid for?
eGifts are valid only in the UK and not suitable to be sent to recipients to use Internationally. There are a wide range of locations your recipient can do their experience and depends on the chosen activity. The location they can do it is visible on the product information page when you pick an experience.
Can I customise the eCard with a personal message?
Yes, absolutely! You can personalise the eCard with a heartfelt message for the recipient as well as add special personalisation features to make your eGift extra special.
How is the eGift delivered and redeemed by my recipient?
The eGift, is delivered to the recipient via email. The voucher will be placed inside the eCard opened on the Moonpig platform. Redeeming is easy, your recipient clicks onto the voucher with the eGift and is taken to Buy a Gift or Red Letter days and enter the pin number on the voucher.
Is there an expiration date the eGift experiences?
All vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless stated otherwise in the product details. There is the option to extend the validity of the voucher if you need to and is done directly with Buy a Gift and Red Letter Days.
Can the recipient choose a different experience than the one specified in the eGift?
All our vouchers are fully flexible and can be redeemed against Buyagift and Red Letter Days huge range of experiences. If your recipient would like to exchange their experience they can do so directly with either Buyagift or Red Letter Days.
What happens if the recipient loses the eCard or accidentally deletes the email?
If the eCard is lost or accidentally deleted, please contact our customer support with the purchase details.
Can I schedule the delivery of the eGift for a specific date?
Yes, you can often schedule the delivery of the eGift for a specific date, or send immediately for last minute gifting. Look for this option during the checkout process.
Are there any additional fees associated with eGifts for experiences?
Most eGifts for experiences do not have additional fees. The price you see during the purchase process is typically the final amount. Be sure to review the terms and conditions for any specific details regarding fees.
